FAQs
What parts and services does Vapormatt’s aftermarket team provide?
Vapormatt’s aftermarket team supplies genuine spare parts, servicing and repair, retrofit upgrades and Vapormatt 4.0 IIoT remote monitoring for wet blasting machines, also known as vapor blasting machines. Servicing is available on a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum contract or as a one-off visit. How do I order spare parts for my wet blasting machine?
Search our online catalogue of more than 600 parts by part code, machine model or product category, then select “Enquire about this product” on the part you need. If you can’t find it, contact our aftermarket team with your machine model, serial number and a description or photo of the part, and we’ll identify it and confirm availability.
Can Vapormatt supply parts for wet blasting machines made by other manufacturers?
Yes. Alongside parts for Vapormatt machines, our catalogue includes equivalent parts for other manufacturers’ wet blasting equipment, including Wheelabrator, cross-referenced to the original manufacturer’s part numbers. If your machine or part isn’t listed, contact our aftermarket team and we’ll advise whether we can supply what you need.
Which Vapormatt machines do you supply spare parts for?
We supply spare parts for current and previous Vapormatt automatic and manual wet blasting machines. Automatic models include the Tiger, Tiger+, Lion Rotary, Leopard, Leopard Cub, Jaguar, Oncilla, Oncilla Cub, Sabre, Profelis, Cougar+ and Puma+. Manual models include the Puma, PumaXL, Sump, and Vapormate. You can filter the catalogue by machine model to see the parts that fit yours.
Should I choose a service contract, a one-off service or an upgrade?
It depends on what your machine needs:
- Service contract: best if you want planned maintenance, priority breakdown response and predictable costs.
- One-off service or repair: suits a specific fault or a single maintenance visit with no ongoing commitment.
- Upgrade: the better option when your existing machine no longer meets your production requirements.
Our aftermarket team can recommend the most cost-effective route for your machine.
What types of wet blasting spare parts are available?
Our catalogue covers the parts that wear or need replacing during normal operation, including:
- blast guns, nozzles and abrasive pumps
- hoses, valves, seals and filters
- gloves, windows and doors
- conveyors and belts, sensors, cyclones and elutriation towers.
Spares packages are also available, so you can keep critical items in stock and reduce downtime.
Does Vapormatt still support older wet blasting machines?
Yes. Vapormatt supports every machine it builds from commissioning through to end of life, and some customers have run Vapormatt equipment since 1982. Older machines can be serviced and repaired, and they can be upgraded with the latest Vapormatt technology to improve performance and extend machine life, at a lower cost than buying a new machine.
How can I reduce downtime on my wet blasting machine?
Downtime is easiest to reduce with planned rather than reactive maintenance:
- Have the machine serviced regularly.
- Keep critical consumable wear parts in stock.
- Choose a service plan that includes priority breakdown response.
Vapormatt 4.0 helps further by giving you maintenance history, machine status and just-in-time spare parts ordering in one dashboard, so problems can be spotted before they stop production.
Can I get Vapormatt parts and service outside the UK?
Yes. Around 80% of Vapormatt’s sales are to customers outside the UK. Parts and service are supported from our Innovation Centre in Bridgwater, UK, and through authorised partners in 22 countries across five continents. Those partners provide local service and support backed by Vapormatt’s engineering team.
