Your finishing process is the last step between a machined part and a reliable firearm. Is it holding you back?
Dry blasting embeds abrasive that undermines Cerakote adhesion. Tumbling can’t reach the recesses of a slide or bolt carrier. Hand deburring changes with every shift.
Wet blasting (also known as vapor blasting) deburrs, laps and cleans in a single pass. Water cushions the media, so there’s no embedded abrasive and no change to critical dimensions, just a clean, repeatable surface finish ready for Cerakote, Parkerizing or nitride. It’s a closed-loop and dust-free process with no silica risk, so it can sit right beside your assembly line.
That’s where the Vapormatt Puma+ automatic wet blasting machine comes in with three firearms-ready configurations:
- Radial configuration: four guns sweep a Ø700mm turntable for slides, frames and receivers
- Vertical configuration: Z-axis guns for taller parts such as barrels
- Barrel configuration: up to 20kg of small parts per load (50kg with the large barrel option), wet blasted and rinsed automatically
- Recipes selected on the HMI for repeatable, automated cycles
- Stainless steel build with all filtration inside a compact footprint
