SFM show makes Mexican launch a success
Having recently returned from the SFM show in Mexico it is clear that the demand for aerospace surface treatments is very high. As you can see from the map there is a plethora of aerospace companies setting up facilities in Mexico and this was also clear at the SFM show in February.
And although wet blasting was a relatively new technology for visitors attending the show the interest was high. With several good conversations had and the demonstration machine sold on the last day it is clear that there is great market potential for Vapormatt’s aerospace wet blasting equipment.
Describing the show’s success Branko Cvetkovic, President of Massfin Inc, comments “We decided last year that we need to be present and conduct business in Mexico. Having finished our second exhibition we are absolutely certain that we are in the right place and the right time”.
In the spotlight was Vapormatt’s Cougar wet blasting machine that has been very popular for preparing aerospace components for NDT. The benefits of the wet blast process are clear in this application where the lower Ra values and more uniform finishes make for much better and easier testing.
Also in discussion was the Vapormatt Puma which has been designed specifically for the cleaning of wheels. With its compact design and user friendly workings the Puma machine can successfully use Vapormatt’s WASP technology to strip aircraft wheels and brakes as part of the maintenance process.
