A Sponsorship Success Story
Matt Ashworth and his friend Joe Baines have become one of our 2019 sponsorship success stories. Matt and Joe are talented rowers and compete in the men’s pairs class at various events in the Channel Islands. They have competed in the Guernsey Rowing Club handicap and championship series this year and finished 6th overall at the end of the season. They also achieved 5th in their class in the Championship series.
Although both good results their ultimate achievement came at the Rocquaine Regatta, a fun-filled day on the west coast of Guernsey. Unusual boat races take place throughout the day with fishing boats, small sailing boats and motor boats participating in casual yet highly competitive races! Matt and Joe were delighted to win the Rocquainne Regatta trophy and also a trophy for Merit.
Their boat is nicely branded with the Vapormatt logo and is kept at the office in Guernsey for the winter. Let’s wish them lots more success in 2020!
