We don't sell abrasives but we can tell you which one your process needs.
Run the same component through the same wet blasting machine, at the same pressure and cycle time, with two different media. You'll get two surfaces with fundamentally different functional properties. Choose the wrong one and the cost appears later in rework, failed qualification tests and scrapped parts.
We brought wet wet blasting to the world, and our process engineers have developed and validated media specifications since 1978. We've now put that knowledge into one practical guide that includes topics like:
- How size, shape and hardness drive every media decision, and why toughness sets your running cost
- When aluminium oxide is right for a defined surface profile, from below 0.4 µm Ra up to 3.0 µm Ra
- Why glass beads, ceramic beads and stainless steel shot all peen, but not with equal intensity
- Which plastic media grades perform in a wet slurry, and which one doesn't Whether your dry blasting media will work in a wet blasting machine
With no media to sell, our advice has one aim: the right finish on your components.
