Panther manual mid-sized wet blasting machine

Most compact wet blasting cabinets force a compromise. Either they’re too small for the parts you run every day or not powerful enough to be effective. The compromise is expensive: you buy a larger cabinet or accept a less effective process.

The Panther removes that compromise. It offers a 0.93 x 0.67 x 0.63m (36.6 x 26.4 x 24.8in) working envelope, with a high-powered pump, closed loop filtration, a heater and a boron carbide nozzle fitted as standard.

It’s a high specification on a proven design. One of our best-selling cabinets is back in production from 2027.

The technical challenge

Most shops don’t need a cabinet running all day. They need one that sits quietly until the job arrives, then works first time. The Panther’s slurry agitation stops abrasive settling and blocking between jobs, its 50kg (110lb) work grid carries full batches, the side-loading door takes longer components, and the optional, retrofittable mini barrel processes small parts such as fasteners in bulk.

Process control for consistent results

The 2kW heater holds sump temperature for consistent degreasing, and the boron carbide nozzle outlasts metallic nozzles, keeping the blast stream stable for longer. The optional sight glass shows abrasive concentration at the machine, so operators correct the mix before it affects the finish. With these controls, the finish you approve on day one is the finish you run in month twelve.

Why Vapormatt

We brought wet blasting to the world in the late 1970s, and the Panther carries over 4 decades of pump and gun development into a compact cabinet.

  • Closed loop as standard: the filtration system returns cleaned water to the machine instead of the drain. You use less fresh water and degreaser, with no drain connection needed.
  • Single phase supply: the Panther runs from a 220/240V, 16A single phase supply. It installs on a standard workshop circuit, with no three-phase upgrade.
  • Compact 0.91m² (9.8ft²) footprint: You gain blasting capacity without giving up the floor space of a larger cabinet.
