Last month Vapormatt exhibited, for the first time, at the CAMX show in California, USA. In the spotlight was the Vapormatt Panther wet blasting machine which was made available to visitors wanting to see how wet blasting can be used for composite preparation.

From the 26th to the 29th of September Vapormatt will be exhibiting at the Composites and advanced materials expo (CAMX) at the Anaheim convention center in Anaheim, California. CAMX is the largest composites and advanced materials event which aims to bring leading associations, companies and academics under one roof to showcase the latest technologies and innovations in composite and advanced materials. 

Vapormatt, the world’s leading manufacturer of advanced wet blasting technology will be unveiling its latest high performance systems, developed specifically for use in the aerospace sector for surface preparation and finishing.   On show will be the company’s Puma wet blasting system, which can be seen in operation preparing a range of aircraft components, including cast, machined and composite parts.

After a busy two days Vapormatt's first show at Advanced Engineering has finished. Comprising of 5 events the show saw thousands of visitors from across all industries attend the show that was held at Birminghams NEC.

Global wet blasting specialist Vapormatt has launched a new, free white paper in its ongoing series that offers tips and advice to a range of industries.  The latest paper, entitled Enhancing Composite Performance, looks at the challenges facing composite manufacturers and highlights the ways in which wet blasting helps to improve performance.  The paper will provide useful insight for anyone involved in composite manufacture.

Wet blasting specialist Vapormatt will be exhibiting its advanced and market leading range of wet blasting technology for the aerospace and composites sectors at Advanced Engineering 2014 on 11-12 November, at the NEC, Birmingham. 

Wet blasting specialist Vapormatt has prepared a unique exhibition for the National Composite Centre, revealing the secrets of effective composite preparation.  This exclusive display – comprising literature, a display of sample composite components before and after wet blasting, and an on-screen presentation – will offer viewers valuable advice on composite preparation for both GRP and carbon fibre components.

The benefits of world leading wet blasting technology are enhancing the composite bonding performance at the country’s foremost international composite research centre.  A Vapormatt Cougar system has been installed at the Bristol premises of the National Composites Centre which works with an extensive range of cutting-edge manufacturing organisations and has a widely respected international reputation.

Global Technologies Racing Ltd (GTR), the Fontwell, West Sussex, UK, based specialist designer and manufacturer of high specification carbon fibre components for Formula 1, Indycar and other state-of-the-art racing and performance cars, has recently installed its second Vapormatt wet blast machine.

RTN (Racing Technology Norfolk) has installed the latest ‘Vapormate 3’ wet abrasive blast cabinet from Vapormatt, for the surface treatment of composite and aluminium structural components used at the leading edge of motor racing technology.  RTN, based at Hingham near Norwich, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Audi AG and has worked closely over the last few years with Le Mans 24-hour racing teams.  The company also provides specialist research and development, design and prototyping services for the VW Group.
