Vapormatt has added yet another variant to the Leopard range, to further enhance versatility.  After listening to valuable customer feedback, global wet blasting specialist Vapormatt has added the Leopard cub machine to its range in response to demands for even smaller footprints on wet blasting machines.

The Leopard range has already established a global list of happy customers, renowned for its size and flexibility, because it ability to process oversized components with many variants. The main demand for the Leopard range is among aerospace customers looking to process engine components such as wide chord fan blades, turbine casings and airframe pieces.

The Leopard cub has been designed specifically for the preparation of composite propeller blades which are very tall but not very large. “Utilising a 5.1m high cabinet the Leopard Cub is able to process blades up to 3m in length and the large load door on the front makes access very easy for the operator.” Comments Vapormatt’s Design Manager, Dominic Wilcock. “We aim for clean and organised designs that result in a compact and professional looking machine” he continues.

The Leopard Cub features all of the control of large machines which has allowed the wet blast slurry to be delivered, consistently across the full profile of the propeller blades being processed. The maintenance access is a key part of the design, all serviceable items have ease of access and are enclosed within individual cells, which form an integral part of the blast cabinet and simultaneously bring down the operating noise level of the machine. “With smaller footprints being a key feature of wet blasting machines it was important to keep everything contained within the cabinet, which we have achieved and our customers are very satisfied with.” Concludes Dominic.

To date several Leopard Cub machine have been sold and supplied and the demand is still growing. If the machine looks like it meets your requirements contact us today to discuss your application or, alternatively, you can watch the machine in action.
