The Vapormatt 1717 is manually loaded and unloaded and will operate with any of the following abrasive types: glass, ceramic beads, grit, alumina grit, stainless steel beads. During normal operation this unit automatically processes the entire turntable surface. 4 blast guns are mounted on a horizontal arm and the focus of all 4 guns is at the same point and this point tracks an arc across the turntable as it revolves, in a similar manner to a record player pick up arm. Automatic abrasive, air, and water valves control the flow of these elements to the process nozzles mounted on the radial arm oscillation and also the manual process gun.
