What are the applications and benefits of finishing round shank tools by wet blasting?…

The answer is quite a lot, and crucially our wet blasting technology is capable of carrying out multiple applications in one operation to dramatically improve productivity.

Here’s what our wet blasting technology can do…

• Cleaning, deburring and finishing in one operation for reduced tool handling costs
• Edge honing to a specific K-Factor for improved durability and longevity

What is spallation in surface coatings and how can wet blasting help?

Spallation refers to the phenomenon where a surface coating, such as a layer of paint, thermal barrier coating, or protective film, breaks off, peels, or delaminates from the substrate. This typically occurs due to mechanical stress, thermal cycling, corrosion, or the presence of defects in the bond between the coating and the substrate. Spallation can compromise the coating's performance, leading to premature failure and exposure of the underlying material to environmental or operational hazards.

Common causes of spallation include:

    Malicious emails

It has come to our attention that a scammer purporting to be the USA sales director for Vapormatt is sending emails to a large range of companies asking them to open an attachment containing details of an RFQ for an upcoming project scheduled for next month.

Simon Bibby is not associated with Vapormatt and these are extremely suspicious emails.

The hacker has also moved to a new domain, has taken the name of some of our staff and is currently asking recipients to open an RFQ attachment to his / her email for semiconductors.
