Alloy wheel after wet blasting in the Puma manual wet blasting machine

When it comes to wheel refurbishment, achieving a flawless finish on alloy and carbon fibre wheels demands precision, care, and efficiency. The Puma manual wet blasting machine equipped with dedicated wheel-holding jig and optional stainless-steel turntable, delivers exactly that.

Designed for versatility, the Puma combines the controlled power of wet blasting with features tailored specifically for wheel work:

Engineered for wheels of all sizes – The swing-out wheel jig securely holds wheels up to 762 mm (30") in diameter allowing them to rotate freely for complete coverage. Loading and unloading is straightforward, even with heavy or awkward rims. For reference, the largest factory-fitted diameter wheels for a car are around 584mm (23"), e.g. Range Rover SV, Cadilac Escalade, Lamborghini Urus. HGV, bus and coach wheels easily fit the jig too.

Complete wheel surface restoration – Wet blasting excels at removing old paint, powder coating, corrosion, and surface staining. It also tackles welding marks, brake dust residue, and minor casting blemishes, while preparing the surface perfectly for re-coating or painting. Depending on the job, it can either clean wheels for light restoration or fully strip them back to bare metal for a complete re-finish. Adjustable blast pressure allows precise control, ensuring the wheel’s structure and profile remain intact. When it comes to carbon fibre wheels, fibres are not damaged during the process, ensuring wheel integrity is maintained.

Integrated cleaning, rinsing, and drying – A powerful blast gun, manual rinse nozzle, and air gun allow the entire process to be completed in one setup, with the S-Tank filtration system keeping water clean and running costs low.

Operator comfort and control – The large cabinet, wide side door, LED lighting, window wash/wiper, and ergonomic glove ports make operation straightforward and efficient. The optional turntable enables smooth, effortless rotation during blasting, reducing fatigue.

Built to last – Constructed from high-grade stainless steel and designed for easy maintenance, the Puma delivers consistent results over the long term.

For workshops seeking quality, repeatability, and efficiency in wheel refurbishment, it’s a solution that sets a new benchmark.
