Service Engineers to cover Midlands and Northern EnglandWe require a highly motivated Service Engineer to support our ever expanding customer base and provide after-sales care on our range of manual and fully automatic machines. The successful applicant will be responsible for routine services, commissioning, training and factory acceptance tests on all makes of Vapormatt equipment.
Our new team member will have the rare opportunity to visit many locations world-wide; an individual who has the flexibility, inclination and enthusiasm for travelling will quickly become a valued member of the service team.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to give customer-focused care to increase sales on customers’ premises. A high level of after-care is demanded by our customers meaning that this role will be rewarding for any candidate with a high work ethic and the need to deliver results. The service department provides the frontline in customer support and a successful applicant will be charged with upholding the professional and proficient image of the company at all times.
A qualification in Electrical Engineering will significantly enhance an application although those with evidence of relevant experience will also be considered. All applicants should be able to demonstrate previous experience of mechanical fitting and a good level of IT literacy. Please note that applicants must be in possession of a clean, full UK driving licence.
Looking for a placement position?1 Year Student Placement Process Engineer - Guernsey Based
We are looking for a full-time highly motivated Student Engineer to take on a one year placement (starting in Summer 2013) at our Research and Development base in Guernsey. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake research projects to further our understanding of wet-blast technology and push the boundaries of the process in pursuit of new and exciting developments.
During you time with Vapormatt you will be able to:
use our Microtrac analyser and Alicona 3D measurement system
carry out sample processing
aid in process development
use our CAD design software
analyse test data and use the results to find new research angles!!
Our new team member will have the opportunity to experience life within the research and development department of an engineering firm well-established in a highly competitive market. Applicants should have previous experience of basic mechanical fitting and research methodology and should have the confidence to test their knowledge and skill base in order to find innovative solutions to demanding technical questions.
We are looking for those who are in the process of completing a BEng. qualification or equivalent. All applicants should be able to demonstrate solid background knowledge of mechanical engineering and a good level of IT literacy. Enthusiasm and innovation are a must!
