Vapormatt Engineers made their first Wet
Abrasive Throwing Wheels in the nineteen sixties, these were used for
concurrent degreasing and blasting - surface conditioning - one of the
noteworthy applications during this period was the treatment of the
Austin Mini car body prior to final paint coat.
Many improvements have been made in wheel
design and construction since that time, Vapormatt state-of-the-art
wheels are offered as an alternative, or in conjunction with compressed
air or pressure water driven blast nozzles, and due to their unique
design will operate with any type of cleaning / abrasive media, ranging
from aluminium oxide to soft felt particles.
They are available in sizes from 10 to 40
kw and have variable speed control so that the intensity of degreasing /
blasting can be varied to suit the components being treated. |
