The Vapormatt Tiger Conveyor is in effect two machines in one. It is both a highly sophisticated Vapormatt wet blast machine and a fully featured washing and drying machine.

This makes for considerable savings in WIP and handling costs associated with using two separate machines to reach the same result. In addition it reduces "inter-stage component corrosion" because parts are blasted, washed and dried very quickly.

    incorporates multiple stages:


Auto Load, Vaporblast 1, Vaporblast 2, Rinse 1, Rinse 2 , DI rinse 3, Dry 1, Dry 2, Auto Unload.

All key processes are recipe controlled and can be varied to produce a variety of controlled surface finish or cleaning results.

Specification Summary

The unit is manufactured from stainless steel and it has been designed to be quiet and clean in operation.

All processes and filtration systems are enclosed within the acoustic chambers that make up the machine design.

The Vapormatt Tiger Conveyor is designed so that it can operate in the normal factory environment rather than in a separate area as has been the need with more open wet blast machine designs. Many detail features have been included so that it can remain very clean during operation so that it avoids the mess often associated with older competitive designs.

For this reason the load and unload magazines are fully enclosed, the filtration system is housed within a sealed waterproof locker at the rear of the machine, and the unit is fitted with a mist eliminating extraction unit similar to those fitted to CNC machine tools.

The Vapormatt Tiger Conveyor is fitted with 2 abrasive pumps so can easily handle multiple blast gun heads and can provide constant pressures to blast and filtration systems independently.

We have provided 3 inline washing and 2 drying stages on the unit as most customers require these processes to be part of the overall machine.

Process control and monitoring is provided by PLC unit. All major air, water, and slurry pressures and process flows are either controlled from the PLC or monitored on a continual basis to ensure that the machine is operating correctly. Different recipes can be generated for different part types.

This standard design is a sophisticated but it uses established Vapormatt designs and components. This latest unit is the result of a 15 year development of past in-line designs. It is an evolutionary rather than a revolutionary change which leads to a far more reliable end result.

The Vapormatt Linear wet blast processing machine produces a very consistent and even blasting result, the pre-rinsing and deionised rinsing can produce excellent results on a wide range of components, and the drying results of most components - even those held in trays can be set up to be complete.

The Vapormatt Tiger Conveyor runs without operator intervention as both loading and unloading processes are fully automated.

In short the unit can accurately wet blast, rinse and dry a whole range of components held in rectangular holding jigs or trays. These can range from drills to carbide cutting inserts, to plastic parts, to printed circuit boards and many metallic components requiring deburring or other surface finishing effects.
