Vapormatt have now become market leaders in replacing existing highly toxic and expensive chemical cleaning methods, commonly used in the Jewellery trade, with their wet blast process.

The Vapormatt process replaces this with a “one stop” method, namely; wet blasting - at low pressure with a fine glass bead as the media. All traces of tarnish, discolouration and
investment are removed, leaving an excellent surface finish prepared for subsequent
polishing. One of the major advantages is that there is no measurable removal of material
from the surface even though burrs are smoothed. The system itself is totally non-toxic to install, (for example, the used water is clean enough to flow to usual drainage), and very user friendly. |

One Jewellery Company to have found great advantages in the Vapormatt System is Newcast. They are based in Birmingham and use a “Vapormate” machine.
Managing Director & Proprietor; Mr. Ian Strawford, stated that “The Vapormate has been an ideal piece of kit for eliminating the Health & Safety problems of the chemical process, whilst giving an excellent surface finish - the turnover time has also been much improved." The Vapormate is the smallest of the range of Vapormatt machines and is therefore, ideal for many of the smaller jewellery businesses. The Vapormate dimensions are 700mm x 700mm x 600mm and it runs off a small air supply, (10 - 20 c.f.m.), domestic 13 amp power, and mains water and drainage. It also comes complete with its’ own filtration system. |
