Cleaning Continuous Wire / Strip And Short Length Rod By The Vapormatt Process

A compact special-purpose Vapormatt Machine has been developed to remove heat treatment oxides, and lacquer, oil and grease, from wire, rod and strip. The unit has been designed to fit into the wire drawing or rod production line.

Blast nozzles are positioned in a containment head which also houses the preliminary wash and air blow nozzles. These items are easily accessible for maintenance purposes via a lift-off section at the top of the machine.

Once removed, the whole containment head is exposed - this makes setting up and loading of a new wire / rod through this part of the line a simple process.

The machine can be fitted with moving bed wash water filtration and automatic abrasive feed.

Matting the surface of plastic wire to give good adhesion for paint or plating.

Cleaning aluminium / copper wire for ultimate cleanliness prior to friction welding during the conform tube making process.
