Gun Barrels - Propellant & Material Fines Removal

Vapormatt’s wet slurry pumping system has been developed using bespoke designed equipment to create a unique method of cleaning virtually any size of gun barrels - from small side arms, to large artillery weapons.

This Technology uses a slurry solution made up of water, very mild detergents, corrosion inhibitors, and a variety of solid medias which act as scrubbing agents.

By introducing air atomization to this slurry mixture the action of this process can be vastly and easily adjusted to cope with varying levels of contamination.

This system operates in a closed loop and is environmentally friendly.

It has been found to be very successful even in removing copper deposits from leading edges of barrel rifling - leaving a totally clean barrel without any substrate damage.
